Introduction
Homa Bay County's community health services are aligned with the Kenya Community Health Policy, 2020-2030, with a focus on enhancing access to healthcare and improving productivity through promotive, preventive, and rehabilitative services. In line with this policy, the county has taken significant strides in strengthening its community health workforce by training 261 Community Health Assistants/Officers (CHAs/CHOs) and 2,954 Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) on the eCHIS system to ensure that residents in even the most remote areas have access to essential healthcare services.
