Youths, Sports, Talent Development, Gender, Inclusivity, Cultural Heritage and Social Services

The department is responsible for the administration of programs including; promotion and regulation of cultural activities, management of county parks and recreational facilities, control of drug use and implementation of policies and programs on child protection and care. The department is responsible for gender and social development, promotion of youth peace and social integration, coaching and officiating sports activities, and the development and preservation of premium parks and heritage sites. Additionally, the department enforces policies, guidelines and standards on child protection, placement and follow-up of children in foster care, rehabilitation and reintegration of children in the community, and psychosocial support for dysfunctional families with vulnerable children.
