Introduction
The County Government of Homa Bay is making progress on the
Rangwe Integrated Water Project in Rangwe sub-county. This
infrastructure development aims to provide water access to households
in the area, fulfilling the county's promise of water
connectivity.
Economic Benefit
Reliable water supply is essential for economic growth and improving living standards. This project will enable residents to use this vital resource for domestic needs, agriculture, businesses and other income-generating activities, rather than spending time and efforts on water collection. Adequate water supply also reduces disease burdens that hinder productivity.
Citizen Benefit
For citizens in Rangwe, the water project represents a major enhancement to their quality of life. Household taps provide the convenience, dignity and health benefits of safe, easily accessible water for drinking, cooking, bathing and sanitation. Women and children especially benefit by eliminating the drudgery of carrying water over long distances. Delivering water security and its wide-ranging impacts uplifts entire families.
