Introduction
The
County Government of Homa Bay has funded the construction of a two-door pit
latrine in Ngeri, Kaksingri West Ward. This sanitation facility aims to provide
improved toilet access for the local community.
Economic Benefit
Lack
of adequate sanitation poses major public health risks and hinders economic
productivity. The new pit latrine helps address this issue by offering a clean,
safe place for human waste disposal in Ngeri. Proper sanitation enables a healthier environment more conducive to
development.
Citizen Benefit
For
residents of Ngeri, the latrine enhances their daily living conditions by
providing privacy, security and dignity when using restroom facilities. Convenient
access to hygienic sanitation promotes better personal health outcomes. The
project especially benefits women and children who disproportionately lack
access to safe sanitation facilities.
