Introduction

The County Government commissioned a new water supply system for Lieta-Kabunde Primary School in Homa Bay Arujo Ward. The solar-powered project provides clean, safe drinking water to students and teachers at the school.

Economic Benefit

Reliable water access encourages school attendance and performance by keeping children hydrated and healthy. It also frees up time previously spent fetching water. Education is a key driver of economic growth. So providing adequate learning facilities and removing barriers to achievement nurtures future productivity.

Citizen Benefit

The project profoundly improves lives at the individual level. Students, especially girls, gain dignity from on-site access to drinking water and sanitation. By investing in basic services at Lieta-Kabunde in Arujo ward, the county is demonstrating its commitment to inclusive development that ensures schools can access this essential resource. Uplifting education across Homa Bay ultimately uplifts the entire community.
