The four-day Pilot Testing and Sensitization Workshop on the Anticipatory Action Dashboard concluded successfully, marking a significant milestone in strengthening disaster preparedness and anticipatory action within the county.
The workshop brought together representatives from county and national government institutions, the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS), the National Disaster Risk Management Authority (NDRMA), and other key stakeholders to pilot, test and validate the Anticipatory Action Dashboard. Over the four days, participants were taken through the dashboard's functionality, including user registration, data entry, validation and approval processes, data visualization, reporting, and workflow management.
Participants engaged in practical exercises using live county data to assess the dashboard's effectiveness in collecting, validating and sharing information on hazards, triggers, financing, geographical coverage and implementation status. The hands-on sessions also enabled users to identify system strengths, highlight areas requiring improvement and provide recommendations to enhance the dashboard's functionality before its official rollout.
