Hon. Grace Mercy Atieno Osewe is the County Executive Committee Member for Public Health and Medical Services in Homa Bay County. She holds an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business and brings extensive international development experience across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the U.S. Grace is an accomplished entrepreneur and management specialist with a strong track record in capacity building, strategic planning, and results-based implementation.
Since her appointment in November 2022, Hon. Osewe has provided strategic leadership within the County Executive, having initially served in the Governance and Devolution portfolio. In that role, she spearheaded key reforms, including the implementation of staff performance contracting and appraisal systems, significantly strengthening institutional efficiency and accountability. She has also founded a consulting firm and a regional specialized construction company, reflecting her practical expertise in enterprise development.
Her leadership has consistently driven transformative improvements in governance and management systems, underpinned by effective resource mobilization, strategic partnerships, and the delivery of high-impact programmes that advance service delivery across the county of Homa Bay.

Dr. Kevin Dan Osuri
Dr. Kevin Osuri is the County Chief Officer in charge of Medical Services in Homa Bay County, a position he has held since 2022. He is a qualified medical doctor with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and an experienced Consultant General Practitioner with a strong background in primary healthcare delivery.
Before his appointment to county leadership, Dr. Osuri served the Homa Bay community at Oasis Healthcare, where he built a reputation for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to both adults and children. His clinical expertise spans the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes and hypertension, as well as preventive health, maternal and child health services, and family planning.
In his current role, he provides strategic leadership in the delivery of medical services across the county, focusing on strengthening healthcare systems, improving access to quality care, and promoting preventive health and community wellness.

Evelyne Ododa
Evelyne Ododa is a dedicated and experienced Health specialist committed to improving community and Health well-being with over 18 years of experience in the field. She serves as the Chief Officer in charge of Public Health. Ododa has developed expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating health programs that address a wide range of public health challenges including disease prevention, health promotion, and Health Equity. She holds a master's degree in public Health (Epidemiology and Population Health) from Maseno University, a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Maseno University, and a higher Diploma in SRHR from Lund University, Sweden.
Ms Ododa also holds a Diploma in clinical medicine and Surgery from Kisii MTC. She has been involved in key strategic programming in HIV/AIDS and took the lead in spearheading mentorship programs and curriculum development for HIV/AIDS and TB. Throughout her career, she has worked collaboratively with non-governmental Organizations and local communities to address critical health concerns. Her research and advocacy have contributed to developing of Gender responsive policies that ensure underserved populations receive the care they need. Outside her professional work, she is passionate about community engagement and supports local initiatives with the vision of building more resilient communities by addressing the social determinants of health and promoting equity in healthcare access.
