This department builds community capacity for sustainable environment, water, and sanitation management. It enforces environmental standards, harnesses water resources, and develops infrastructure. Goals include universal access to safe water and sanitation, increasing forest cover from 3.1% to 4% by 2027, enhancing climate resilience, and promoting clean energy. Priorities include expanding water schemes, sewerage plants, climate governance, and renewable energy access.
