Governor Gladys Wanga on Friday presided over the graduation of 250 County Law Enforcement Officers at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay.

The officers completed a one-month training program conducted by the Kenya Forest Services Law Enforcement Academy in Londiani.

In her remarks, Wanga lauded the graduates for their dedication and told them, “You are prepared to serve our county with renewed commitment, professionalism, courage and vigor.”

The training focused on skills needed by the county government including revenue collection, by-law enforcement and service delivery.

Wanga expressed confidence the officers, 240 men and 10 women, will have a significant positive impact.

"You have been equipped to effectively enforce county by-laws, leading to improved compliance and revenue collection," she told the graduates. 

Wanga urged the officer to maintain professionalism, integrity and ethical standards in their interactions with citizens.

Titus Kori, Chairman of the Kenya Forest Services Board, also spoke at the event, congratulating the county for supporting the training and commending the academy instructors.

The ceremony was graced by among others, the deputy governor, Hon. Oyugi Magwanga, county assembly speaker, Rt. Hon. Julius Gaya, the county assembly majority leader, Hon. Julius Ogindo, county executive committee members, members of the county assembly and other guests.
