The County Government of Homa Bay has concluded an extensive public participation exercise for its Annual Development Plan (CADP) 2025-2026.

The two-day event, spanning all 40 wards, aimed to gather residents' input on development priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.

Key sectors addressed during the exercise included agriculture, infrastructure, trade, education, health, social welfare, and environmental protection.

Residents prioritized farm input provision, road improvements, market upgrades, and enhancements to education and healthcare facilities.

The participation process brought together diverse stakeholders, including the general public, persons with disabilities, youth, civil society organizations, and various interest groups.

Ward Administrators moderated the sessions, while economists from different sectors documented the proceedings.

"This exercise is crucial in shaping our county's development agenda," said Mr. Teddy Oginga, the county director in charge of public participation.

"By incorporating residents' views, we ensure our projects align with community needs," He added
