Duties & Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade into this cadre. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include: implementing nutrition programmes; providing nutrition services in health care facilities; conducting nutrition assessments; collecting and compiling nutrition data; providing nutrition health education and demonstrations; counseling of patients with specific nutritional needs; monitoring preparation of therapeutic feeds; Implementing outpatient and inpatient supplementary and therapeutic feeding programmes; promoting maternal infant and young children feeding programmes and providing micronutrient supplement
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade of Nutrition and Dietetic Technologist III, a candidate must:-
i)Diploma in Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution
ii)Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution
iii)Registration by Council of the Institute of Nutritionists and Dieticians
NOTE:
Candidates shortlisted for the interviews for the above position will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 by submitting copies of the following:
• Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
• Tax Compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
• Clearance from the Ethics and anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
• Compliance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
• Clearance Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
