Remuneration: As per Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities
- Approve the Board’s Strategic Plan and Budget.
- Oversight Administration of Revenue collection.
- Formulate and implement strategies to maximize collections from all revenue streams in the County.
- Supervise and monitor performance of staff of the Board;
- Ensure the Board complies with Laws and Codes.
- Identify the risk areas and oversee risk management with regard to revenue collection
- Establish partnerships towards the goal of revenue maximization;
- Represent the interest of the County Government of Homa Bay.
- Advising the County Executive Committee on all matters related to administration and collection of revenue under County laws
- Helping in the design and implementation of the boards plan to achieve revenue growth.
- Initiating measures to ensure compliance with relevant revenue legislations.
- Carry out such other roles necessary for the implementation of the objects and purpose of Homa Bay County Revenue Board Act 2022.
Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan Citizen
- Have a minimum of a Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences and Business Administration.
- Have knowledge and experience of at least five years in matters relating to, Business, Finance and Accounts;
- Have a distinguished career in the field of Finance and experience in Public Administration
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
