Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade into the Food Technologists' cadre. An officer at this will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior Officer. Duties and responsibilities will include;
• Training and advising farmers on matters related to Agribusiness,
• Planning and management of agro processing related demonstrations in the County,
• Management of Agro processing plants at Agriculture Training Centre and any other location in the County.
• Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor
Requirement for Appointment
• Must be a Kenyan Citizen
• Must have a Bachelor of Science BSc. degree in food science and technology or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
Integrity Clearance
Successful applicants are expected to get clearance from the following bodies.
• Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
• Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
• Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
• Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
• For those with higher education certificates (degrees) from outside Kenya, a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission of University.
